"I have been shooting sporting clays for some 15 plus years. I am ranked as a AA shooter in the NSCA. For the last few years I have not had the time to shoot as much as I would have liked to do and as a result, my shooting has suffered. To try and get myself back on track, I enrolled as a shooting student in the NSCA level III instructor's school in San Antonio earlier this month. The reason for doing so, is an instructor attempting to receive his level III rating (the highest rating in the NSCA), will have spent many hours of instruction time up to that point. The end result would be that a good instructor has the ability to pin point my errors and offer suggestions that would help me with my shooting game. While participating as a shooting student, one of the 4 instructors I was assigned to was Joe Rankin. When it came my time to be with Joe, it took all of about 4 shots for him to diagnose one of my problems. At that point I realized too that Joe knew what he was doing. He offered many suggestions which I paid close attention to. At the end of that session with Joe, I knew I had gotten what I had gone for. The other 2 people in our group felt the same way.
I have taken lessons from various instructors through time. Joe Rankin is one I would recommend to anyone."
